How Our Process Works
Phase 1 – Requirements & Design
The first stage of a new project is finding out about your business and ideas for the website. After asking you to fill in an online questionnaire and thoroughly discussing your requirements, we will get to work on creating an outline for your project and will be able to give you an estimate for the complete design, development and a time frame for the project completion. This is completely free of charge.
If you are happy for us to go ahead with the project, we usually ask for an initial deposit of 50%. For larger projects, we usually work to milestone payments which we can agree beforehand. We accept bank transfers, Credit/Debit cards and Paypal. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques.
We will first create some wireframes for the site layout and how things needs to function and behave, you can think of wireframes as computer designed sketches (The great thing about wireframes is that they are easy to change and easy to get ideas down quickly). After we have your feedback and have made any revisions, we will then make a first pass at designing a concept or mockup design of using Photoshop, any vector graphics will be done using Adobe Illustrator. After you have reviewed the designs and any revisions have been made we will get your approval. We normally create a separate concept design for each page that needs a separate template (layout).
Phase 2 – Development
Phase 3 – Handover
At this stage your website will be completed and ready to be put into production (Live). By your choice, we will either install the site on your own infrastructure so that you can host it yourself or if you prefer to use our own servers, we will put your site live. After putting your website live, we will take care of any on-page search engine optimisation. Please note, if you host with us and we register a new domain for you – Your domain name will be registered in your own / company address and if you decided to host the site yourself at a later date, we will release this to you, completely free of charge.
